Adults Night

News story graphic

Thanks to the superb organising skills of Mike Gibbs, or is it just an excuse for a beer?, we're having a pre=Christmas, adult social night.

Being held at Centuries in Kingswood, on the 7th December, 2007, we're extremely pleased to say that our favourite cabaret act, Frankie Johns, will once again be the star attraction. If you haven't yet seen Frankie on the rounds in Bristol, all he need to know is, he's very apt at taking the mickey out of Johnny Winer!

Tickets for this fantastic night out are just £5 per person. Contact us to book your tickets.

What are you playing at?

We've moved things around in our Fun and Games section, by bringing in two new games. This is the start of a rotation policy, to keep things fresh.

So without further ado, I introduce Siggi the Sea Horse and the painfully addictive Blocker game, like a reverse Tetris.

Unfortunately, that means we're going to stand down the popular By The Truck Load game (full credit to my other half, Sue, who scored a whopping 23,000 very early on, a score that everyone else has failed to better some 5 months later), and Pack Your Bags (Carl topped the charts with 19 items, followed by 'Harry Is Da Best' just a single point behind). Both games will make a welcome return at some stage in the future.

Enjoy the new games, and the best of luck

Redevelopment of Greenbank clubhouse

Greenbank clubhouse from the air

As we're sure you're aware, the South Gloucester council will meet in the near future to determine if we're allowed to expand the clubhouse at our Greenbank Road ground. The date for the decision has been pushed back a number of times. Naturally, we will report on the decision as soon as it reaches us (whenever that may be!)
